Terms and conditions for using Faith in Action

By accepting these terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted all of these Terms of Use as well as our Privacy Policy.
By downloading, installing, or using the Faith in Action application (hereinafter "the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the Application.
Faith in Action is a mobile Christian devotion application that offers:
Free Version: Access to verse of the day, basic reading plans, personal progress
Premium Version: Unlimited thematic plans, customizable widgets with favorite and personal verses, advanced sharing features, no limitations on saved verses
The Application provides biblical content from public domain translations. See Section 6.2 for details on biblical content credits.
No account required: Faith in Action does not require you to create an account. All your data (favorites, notes, progress) is stored locally on your device. You may optionally provide a username during onboarding, which is also stored only on your device.
Since there is no account system, you cannot recover your data if you uninstall the application. All data is tied to your device installation.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application on your personal devices for non-commercial purposes.

Premium subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat (https://www.revenuecat.com), a third-party subscription management service. By subscribing to Premium, you also agree to RevenueCat's terms of service and privacy policy.

Premium subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal will be charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the rate of your chosen plan.
To manage or cancel your subscription:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until that date.
If a free trial period is offered, you must cancel before the end of the trial to avoid being charged. The free trial is limited to one use per user.

The Application, its design, features, source code, and all original content (except public domain biblical texts) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The Application uses three public domain Bible translations:
These translations are used in accordance with their public domain status. No additional license is required. However, the presentation, formatting, features, and design around this biblical content remain the property of Faith in Action Team.
The name "Faith in Action," the logo, and all associated visual elements are trademarks of Faith in Action Team. Any unauthorized use is prohibited.

We strive to keep the Application available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Application may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faith in Action Team will not be liable for:
Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Premium subscription in the last 12 months.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Faith in Action Team against any claims arising from:
You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from your devices and canceling your Premium subscription if applicable.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application if:
In case of termination for violation, no refund will be granted.
We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Significant changes will be notified in the Application at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Application after these 30 days constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
If you do not accept the new terms, you must stop using the Application and cancel your subscription.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of your country of residence. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of your jurisdiction.
For European Union users, you benefit from protections under European consumer law and GDPR.
For California residents, you benefit from protections under CCPA.
For Brazilian users, you benefit from protections under LGPD.
These Terms of Use, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Faith in Action Team regarding the use of the Application.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the other provisions will remain in effect.
Our failure to exercise a right provided by these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliated company or in case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
